DESIGNER

Kerry Clarkson Valdivia is a British-Peruvian designer and founder of Taka. Her work moves between clothing, objects and spatial experience and has been shaped by a love for minimalism, material longevity and a sustained interest in vernacular craft.

Drawing from an international background and years spent studying artisan traditions, she works with natural materials and inherited techniques to create pieces with a clear and funcitonal visual language.

Across each discipline, her approach is guided by usefulness, ecological responsibility and the intelligence of the handmade. Taka reflects this as a broader cultural practice, where material, form and daily life are considered as part of the same language.
